Perinatal Mental Health

Are you a mama adjusting to life with a newborn? Is the transition to parenthood different than what you were expecting? Do you feel like you are faking it when you are really drowning? Are you exhausted and struggling with self-doubt? I specialize in maternal mental health where I help perinatal (pregnant/postpartum) clients adjust to life changes associated with their unique situations.

I think it is important to know that 1 in 5 moms experience anxiety or depression in the perinatal period, 9% experience Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, and 11% meet criteria for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. This is not your fault, and you are not alone.

I use several evidence-based treatment modalities (DBT, CBT, MI, EMDR) to help you develop skills to manage your symptoms, process life circumstances that are contributing to your situation, and explore ways to build resilience in the future.
